My name is Margarita, I was born in Mallorca, but I have lived most of my life in Barcelona.
At 18, I went to study law in Barcelona and was captivated by this modern, cosmopolitan, elegant city. Both grand and intimate, magical, cultured, exquisite, and avant-garde… so I decided to settle here. My life revolves around Barcelona, though I always keep an eye on my island, where my mother, many friends, and a part of myself live. In the summer, I return to Mallorca with my family to enjoy my holidays with those I love most. However, it’s a mistake to associate Mallorca solely with summer. While I understand how easy it is to fall into this stereotype, I congratulate and encourage travelers who plan their autumn or winter in Mallorca. I’m sure it will be a sensational experience. The island offers far more to see and do than most of our guests imagine. I encourage you to discover them; I’m sure you’ll return.
In January, I usually spend all my time in Mallorca, typically until after Three Kings’ Day (after which my son starts school and we have to return). Enjoying sunny days strolling around the bay of Puerto de Pollensa is truly incomparable, in my opinion.
In 2010 I created my own holiday rental company, lovingly renovated all the cottages and filled them with charming details to ensure that guests felt at home. I believe that when you go on holiday everything around you should be beautiful.
I must thank my mother for her generosity and good taste in receiving friends at home; I hope I have inherited this virtue, because that is how I try to receive my guests.
All the houses I present to you, both in Barcelona and Mallorca, have in common a perfect location with an idyllic setting and incomparable views.
My son sometimes asks me, “Mom, do you like Mallorca or Barcelona more?” or… “Mom, do you like Alaró or Puerto de Pollensa more?”
He asks me this because he’s 5 years old, because he sees me chewing every bit of food, because he doesn’t yet know if he prefers fishing for hairy crabs in Puerto de Pollensa, hiking in the mountains of Alaró, or enjoying everything Barcelona has to offer. What he doesn’t know is that he’ll keep asking himself this question throughout his life, because I’ve never stopped asking him.
I’m happy to invite you to see my favorite places.
A warm hug.
Margarita
